To mark the 60th anniversary of the sister city partnership between Nanortalik and Roskilde, 20 mountain bikes have been donated to children in Nanortalik.
The donation was announced in late August, when Roskilde’s mayor, along with committee chairs and city officials, visited Nanortalik to mark the 60th anniversary of the sister city partnership.
-To our great delight, 20 bicycles were donated to the children during the visit from Roskilde. The bicycles will be shipped here this winter along with the town’s Christmas tree, so the children can start using them in the spring, says Esther Frederiksen, administrative director in Nanortalik.
The plan is for the donated mountain bikes to be used by the students at Nanortalik School.
